The chemical smell most people associate with a clean house isn't cleanliness. It's residue, and in a Seattle home with the windows shut from October to May, it lingers. We built EcoCleanHome around plant-based products for that reason: the results are the same, and the air afterward is better.
For kitchens, plant-derived degreasers handle stovetops and cabinet fronts the same way a solvent would. For bathrooms, citric-acid descalers lift hard-water spots and soap scum off glass and tile without the fumes. Microfiber does most of the actual work on surfaces, which cuts down on product and on paper waste.
There are a few places where a stronger product is the right tool, like mold on grout or a neglected oven. When that's the case, we use it sparingly, ventilate, and tell you. Eco-friendly cleaning is about defaults and judgment, not pretending every job is the same.
If someone in your home has asthma, allergies, or a sensitivity to fragrance, let us know when you book. We'll keep products fragrance-free and leave a list of what we used. Your pets will be fine on the floors a few minutes after we're done, which is more than most people can say about their own cleaning cabinet.
